Tips & Tricks for Hosting the Best Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving day, the kick off to the Holiday season! As the host, you may start to feel overwhelmed and stressed over preparing your house and the meal for your families! Here are a few tips to help you ease into the holiday so that you can ENJOY the time with your family rather than stress about it!MAKE YOUR GROCERY LIST NOW!
Don't wait until the week of when the stores are packed and picked over! Make your grocery list now and start shopping for things that you can keep in your pantry!
ASK YOUR GUESTS TO BRING A DISH
Are you having the entire exteneded family over? Ask each family to bring a dish! It will cut down on prep time and save you some money. Also, people like to contribute even if its just a side of bread or the wine! And dont forget the ice!
SET THE TABLE THE NIGHT BEFORE
Having your table set the night before will be just one less thing to worry about on the big day and will also keep the space clear of clutter!
EMPTY THE DISHWASHER AND TRASH CANS THE NIGHT BEFORE
Again, this is just a simple thing to do the day before to make Thanksgiving day a little less hectic.
PREPARE AS MANY DISHES AS YOU CAN
Prepping the dishes the night before will make for an easy day of just popping things in the oven! Or if prepping the dish isn't an option, peeling and cutting veggies can help save some time!
USE SQUARE OR RECTANGLE PANS
Using square or rectangle baking dishes instead of oval or circular will make it easier to fit more in the oven!
CHILL WINE QUICKLY
There may be someone that will show up early! If you havn't yet chilled the wine wrap a wet paper towel around the bottle and place it in the freezer for 10-15 minutes! Or you can throw it in an ice bath with salt for a quick chill!
We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by family and friends! We are thankful for you!
